Abstract:
This study was designed to identify entrepreneurships skills required by Secondary School graduates for success in yellow pepper production enterprises in Nsukka Agro-Ecological zone of Enugu State. Three research questions were developed and answered agreement with the purpose of the study. Three null hypothesis were formulated and tested at the probability of 0.05 level of significance. Three sets of structured questionnaire were developed from the related literature reviewed for three experts. The three sets of questionnaire were also tested for reliability with alpha coefficients of 0.96, 0.95 and 0.96 respectively. The questionnaires were used for collecting data from the 212 responded. The data were analyzed using the mean standard deviation to answer the three research questions and T-test to test the null hypotheses. The major findings of the study showed three (3) modules with 45 skills in yellow pepper processing enterprise, three (3) modules with 24 skills in yellow pepper processing enterprise and two (2) modules with 23 skill items yellow pepper marketing enterprise. The result of the null hypotheses tested showed that there were no significant differences in the mean ratings of the responses of the group of respondents on entrepreneurship skills modules with their corresponding skills required by secondary school graduates for success in yellow pepper production enterprises in Nsukka Agro Ecological Zone of Enugu State. It was recommended that the entrepreneurship skills modules with their corresponding skills identified by the study could be packaged into training programmes by government for training secondary school graduates in yellow pepper production enterprises.
