Abstract:
This study is aimed at examining the secondary school students study habits as correlates of their actiievement in chemistry. In carrying out this project, we initially stated the problems, objectives of the study among other In attempted to review the Iiterature under some headings. Also, the methodology and data analysis were presented. The findings of the study were discussed after the test of hypotheses formulated. The following results were discovered in the study. There is no positive relationship between the students' involvement in homework and assignment and their achievement in chemistry. There is no relationship between the students' timetable allocation and their achievement in chemistry. There is no relationship between students reading and note-taking pattern and their achievement in chemistry among others. Finally, the researcher made the following recommendations:- The curriculum designers should improve the course content in chemistry thereby making it simple and avoid using complex content, production of enough chemistry textbooks for use in secondary schools, inviting resort personnel's in the area different from their teachers' participating in class discussion among other recommendations
