ABSTRACT
This is a research project carried out to determine the contributions of Public
Relations Programmes in the enhancement of the revenue base of Local
Government Areas in Nigeria (A study of Ezeagu LGA). A sample size of 200
respondents all randomly selected from Ezeagu LGA and the staff of Ezeagu LGA
was used in this study. Both primary and secondary data were collected and
analyzed using the Chi-square test.
The researcher, based on the data collected
and analyzed, found out that Public Relations programs contributes to the
enhancement of the revenue base of a Local Government, that involvement of good
Public Relations programs is a pointer to the enhancement of government revenue
of the Local Governments, that inadequate funds could adversely affect the
effective organization of Public Relations programs for revenue generation in
Local Government Areas.
