ABSTRACT
The mandated principle purpose of this project work is to evaluate the impact of local government creation on community development with its case study on Yenagoa Local Government
Area of Bayelsa State.
Local Government as the third-tier of government is meant to bring the government close to the people in carrying out government policies plans and developmental projects/programmes at the grassroot level. The major objectives of the work is to detect or unwell how regressively and progressive local government has fulfilled its purpose or motive of its creation on accelerating, developing both political and economic sectors of the grassroot level. The researcher decided to use questionnaire presented for confirmation via respondents concerning local government impact on community development.
